Josh Overmyer is a CRS Specialist for the Florida Division of Emergency Management in the State Floodplain Management Office. He has over 11 years of experience in city planning, floodplain management, and the Community Rating System. Previously, Josh was the Principal Planner, Floodplain Administrator and CRS Coordinator for the Town of Fort Myers Beach. Josh has been a CFM since 2012. In the past 3 years, Josh has been a co-instructor for the field-deployed L-278 NFIP/CRS course in Florida. Josh is a Director at-Large on the Florida Floodplain Managers Association Board of Directors, and has a Bachelor of Urban Planning & Development from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He will be presenting at the ASFPM Conference in Phoenix this June on The Florida CRS Initiative: Providing State Support of Municipal CRS Programs.
