Sue Ann grew up in New York and Pennsylvania. She received her bachelors degree in Geography from West Virginia University. After a short career in the publishing industry as an editorial researcher, she took time to raise a family during which time she was active in school and scouting activities as well as helping to plan the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Water Trail along the Lehigh River in eastern Pennsylvania. The interest in design, planning and ecology fueled her pursuit of a Masters of Landscape Architecture degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Sue Ann sat on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration while working as project manager at Urban Research & Development Corporation in Bethlehem, PA. Her duties at URDC included streetscape, trail and park design, graphic presentation, wayfinding and signage design, and management and maintenance plans for trails and parks.

Sue Ann enjoys traveling, walking and bicycling as well visiting family and friends. She looks forward to exploration of the varied and striking ecology of Florida by bike and by boat.
