In October 2017, Susan W. Wilson retired from the Federal Emergency Management Agency after 34 years of service in the Atlanta Regional office of FEMA. During her 34 years of FEMA experience in floodplain management and flood insurance, Susan worked extensively with all the eight FEMA Region 4 states, and contributed to the development of numerous guidance documents, publications, and training courses.

In retirement Susan is enjoying travel, volunteer work, and teaching the occasional floodplain management course.
