FFMA Annual Conference
April 23 – 26, 2024
Baytowne Conference Center

Dear FFMA Conference Registrants,

Remember we will be operating everything in Central Time!

ARRIVAL

The Grand Sandestin Resort is a HUGE property. Tell the gate guard you are going to the Grand Sandestin Village & Grand Complex and follow the signs. Check out the Property Map and Check-In Location documents and notice if you arrive after 8pm, you will not be able to check in at the Grand Sandestin. You will have to go to the Sandestin Welcome Center.

Bring your tax exempt information with you that can be given to the front desk upon check in to your room.

PARKING

Parking is included in your resort/service fee. Once you check in, enter the garage under the Grand Sandestin and if you are in Bahia, Elation, LaSata or Le Jardin, look for signage that will direct you to that building’s elevators.

REGISTRATION OPEN MONDAY AFTERNOON

To reduce the rush before we start bright and early on Tuesday morning at 8:30 am sharp, the Registration Desk will be open Monday evening from 2 – 7 pm. It’s located in the Magnolia Foyer of the Conference Center, so please stop by to pick up your registration packages if you arrive in time.

New to the conference? Be sure to attend the “First Time Orientation” during the morning break Tuesday, April 23rd. Come up to the stage at the start of the break.

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided Tuesday-Thursday. Breakfast will be provided Friday. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served at the Tuesday evening Member Social which will be followed by the 2nd Annual Flood Karaoke Contest. Start working on changing the lyrics of your favorite song to a flood theme and join us! Trophies will be awarded!

CONTINUING EDUCATION:

  • Up to 12 CFM Continuing Education Credits
  • Up to 18 Professional Engineering Credits (you must sign in daily to each session attended, and you must report these credits yourself)
  • Up to 10.5 AICP Continuing Education Credits
  • FFMA will provide the attendance list to ASFPM for CFM credits and also provide certificates of attendance, which will be available for download on the FFMA website by the end of May.

Bring a sweater or light jacket for use inside the Conference area. As with all Conference venues, they make it very cold, so we don’t fall asleep during those exciting presentations. 🙂

The Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is an exciting property with plenty of activities for the whole family! Check out Chamber of Commerce Sandestin, FL

As always, feel free to call or email me if you have any questions about the Conference!

Sincerely,

Cece McKiernan, CFM | FFMA Executive Director
